Cultivation of Lemon Grass
Lemon grass also known as Cochin grass or Malabar grass is native to India and tropical Asia. It is grown and found in various parts of India and is also used in the perfume business and for medicinal purposes. Lemon is also used as a pesticide and preservative. Research shows that lemon grass has anti-fungal properties. Due to the extensive use of lemon grass in various industries, Indian farmers have started cultivating it in large quantities. You can guess that in the coming years, farmers associated with the pharmaceutical and perfume industry will give priority to lemon grass plantation due to its wide demand.


Cultivation of Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a medicinal plant that grows up to 2 feet high annually. Aloe vera is a stemless or very short stem plant, which grows 24-40 inches high and leaves are about 4 inches wide. The leaves are thick and fleshy and green to brown in colour. A sticky liquid oozes out when the leaves are peeled. Aloe vera leaves are also used in making pickles, vegetables, Chyavanprash, etc. The edge of the leaf is serrated and has small white teeth/thorns. Aloebarbadensis is the most common species of aloe vera and is grown in Rajasthan, MP, UP and Gujarat.


Cultivation of Moringa
Moringa oleifera, also known as the "tree of life" or "miracle tree", is classified as an important herbal plant due to its immense medicinal and non-medicinal benefits. Traditionally, the plant is used to heal wounds, pain, ulcers, liver disease, heart disease, cancer and inflammation. One such herb, known as the Moringa tree, has been shown to be effective in preventing and curing cancer. Research has also shown Moringa to be a treatment for cancer, asthma, heart disease, diabetes and other diseases.


Cultivation of White Musli
Safed Musli is a very important plant. The tuber of Safed Musli is used as a medicine. The roots of Safed Musli are used in making Ayurvedic and Unani medicines. Safed Musli is known as Safedi or Dholi Musli which is a plant of the Liliaceae family. It is such a divine medicine that has the ability to remove weakness in humans due to any reason. Safed Musli crop is a profitable crop. It is also used for the treatment of cough, asthma, piles, skin diseases, jaundice, urinary diseases, leucorrhoea etc. However, the main use for which it is most promoted is to remove impotence and increase sexual power and strength. It has also proved to be very effective in the treatment of diabetes.


Black turmeric Cultivation
Black turmeric is an important plant of Ayurveda, it has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Its medicinal use is as a tonic for the brain and heart, leucoderma, piles, leprosy, respiratory diseases, asthma, tumors, allergies, cancer, fever, wounds, vomiting, menstrual disorders, anthelmintic, aphrodisiac and in the treatment of inflammation. Its other uses are as a coloring material, spice and cosmetic and in religious rituals. The rhizome of the plant is fragrant, it contains essential oil and it is used in various ways. The tuber of black turmeric has a distinctive pungent smell which is due to the camphor and starch present in it. This plant is full of properties and can be cultivated easily and by adopting low cost technology it can be made a good source of income.


Black Ginger Cultivation
Black ginger, scientifically known as Kaempferia parviflora, is a perennial herb found in Thailand and Southeast Asia, belonging to the Zingiberaceae family. Black ginger has been used in Thailand as a folk medicine and food for over a thousand years. Black ginger is used to treat conditions such as inflammation, ulcers, arthritis, colic, boils, asthma, allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, and diabetes. Black ginger can be prepared as tea, wine, medicinal liquor, pills, capsules, or tablets. The active compounds present in black ginger have shown the ability to promote brain health. They have neuroprotective properties, which help protect the brain from oxidative damage and age-related cognitive decline. Black ginger benefits include improving memory, improving focus, and protecting against neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.


Stevia Cultivation
Stevia is known as 'Honey Plant' because it is sweet in taste. It is a natural sweetener which helps in balancing the insulin levels in the body of sugar patients. Its leaves are used to make many types of medicines. Medicines prepared from Stevia are used for treating diabetes, dental cavities, tonics and reducing calories from food etc. It is an evergreen herb, whose height is 60-70 cm. Its leaves are oppositely arranged and are green in colour. Its flowers are small and white. The main Stevia producing states in India are Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.


Ashwagandha Cultivation
Ashwagandha is a medicinal plant grown mostly in India, Pakistan and North America. The root of the Ashwagandha herb has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. Ashwagandha has many positive effects on human health, such as flavonoids and anolyte class elements, etc. Many studies to date have shown that Ashwagandha is efficient in reducing inflammation, reducing stress, improving mental health, energizing the body, as a healthy antioxidant and it is helpful in treating tumors.


Anjeer (Figs) Cultivation
Fig is a type of small fruit that can be eaten both fresh and dried. It improves digestion and helps prevent cancer, heart diseases and hypertension. It is rich in antioxidants. Since ancient times, the fig tree has been recognized as a rich source of both food and medicine. Consuming figs can also reduce the risk of many chronic diseases including inflammation, diabetes and cancer. The seeds, fruits, bark, leaves, shoots and latex of the fig plant are used in medicine. Figs are used in medicines to treat a variety of diseases including respiratory diseases, stomach pain, loss of appetite, indigestion, diarrhea, cough, sore throat, heart problems.
